"Let it Snow!" remains a popular Christmas phrase, and not only due to the often-heard song that pops up this time of year.
In the U.S., at least in many areas, it just wouldn't be Christmas without snow. Hence another favorite song, "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas."
And while many retirees flee to warmer climates, they often return to snow ridden areas to celebrate with family. The grand children love snow almost as much as Christmas itself!
And while they go sledding less often as time goes by, they still enjoy a good snow storm. Not to mention the prospect of a good old-fashioned snow day!
Our Let it Snow ornament is one of several patterns for the holiday that you can stitch quickly. Even beginners will appreciate how soon they can have a finished ornament, ready for giving or display.

Fabric and Approximate Finished Design Sizes:
9 ct. Aida 7 1/8" high x 7 1/8" wide
11 ct. Aida 5 7/8" high x 5 7/8" wide
14 ct. Aida 4 5/8" high x 4 5/8" wide

I embroidered the ornament" on 14-count Aida with DMC 6-strand cotton floss, accented it with gold Kreinik Metallic floss. The front and back are stitched on separate squares and connected with half stitches. To finish it off, we pad the ornament, add a gold ribbon hanger and surrounding fringe.
